FOR the nth time, Dionisia Pacquiao, or "Mommy D" to the millions of Manny Pacquiao fans, has pleaded his son to stop fighting.
But Manny would have to defy his mother once again as Top Rank has already arranged his next fight for November this year.
In a radio interview from General Santos City after his son defeated Sugar Shane Mosley via unanimous decision, Mommy D said Manny's best "Mother's Day" gift for her is his retirement from boxing.
Mommy D was was holed up in her prayer room in General Santos City during his son's fight, praying for his victory.
When news of her son’s win finally reached her, she said she and her companions shouted with joy.
“Siyempre, masayang masaya,” she said.
She said she is thankful to the Lord for granting her prayers.
Mommy Dionisia is also an attention-grabber during Manny's fights. Many times, she fainted while seeing his son got hurt.
